LOME, May 12 (Xinhua) -- Togo and Benin will install boundary markers to delineate their shared 644km border, the website close to the Togolese government republicoftogo.com reported on Friday.

"As part of the delineation, installation operations of 241 boundary markers along the borderline commenced this week at the locality of Madjatom in the northern prefecture Binah in Togo," the report read.

The operation aimed to slightly correct the topographic mistakes made by foreign colonial powers, according to the source.

Experts from Togo and Benin have periodically discussed creating a definitive delineation of their shared border, which includes a 100 km fluvial borderline.
