MADRID, May 11 (Xinhua) -- Rafael Nadal showed his commitment to wheelchair tennis as he played a match with Spanish Paralympian Daniel Caverzaschi in the court of Madrid Open on Thursday.
Caverzaschi, who competed at the Paralympic Games in 2012 and 2016, said, "In Spain there is not a lot of support (for wheelchair tennis) when compared with other countries, where people purchase tickets to watch us. There are still a lot of things we have to do."
Nadal said he had never played on a wheelchair, only watching wheelchair matches in Grand Slams.
"I have played with him several times," Nadal said. "I truly admire him."
