KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 (Xinhua) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak arrived in the Philippine capital of Manila on Thursday to attend the 30th summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

During the summit, the 10 ASEAN countries will discuss and implement the ASEAN Community Vision 2025, the Malaysian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"The summit will also provide Leaders the opportunity to exchange views on the future direction of ASEAN, the conduct of external relations as well as regional and international issues of interest and concern," it said.

Najib will chair the 10th Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) Summit as well as attend the 12th Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area (BIMP-EAGA) Summit, to be chaired by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

The 30th ASEAN Summit and related meetings is held on April 26-29 in Metro Manila, Philippines.

The ASEAN, which groups Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, is marking its 50th anniversary this year.
