RAMALLAH, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Foreign Minister Riad Malki said Thursday that the Palestinian leadership is still ready to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "anywhere."

Malki said to official Palestinian radio station, Voice of Palestine, that meeting Netanyahu "is not a complication in case the outcomes of this meeting are guaranteed to succeed and exit the current situation."

The top Palestinian diplomat said that the meeting would aim at putting down obstacles in the path of resuming negotiations between both sides, obliging Israel to undertake its responsibilities under international legitimacy resolutions and agreements.

Israeli public radio reported from a Japanese media source that Palestinian president expressed willingness to meet with Netanyahu in any time in Washington under the patronage of U.S. President Donald Trump.

Abbas is expected to meet Trump on May 3rd, in a new attempt to revive the peace process between Palestine and Israel.

Palestinian president's spokesperson Nabil Abu Rdeinah said Abbas views this meeting with positivity and will stress to President Trump the importance of sticking to the two-state solution as the basis to return to negotiations that would lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state within the borders of 1967.

The peace talks between Israel and Palestine have ben stalled since April 2014. The U.S-sponsored talks that lasted for nine months achieved no tangible results.
