JAKARTA, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Rescuers on Friday evacuated the body Rio Pasaribu, the pilot of a cargo plane that crashed into a mountain on Wednesday in Papua province, easternmost of Indonesia, spokesman of national search and rescue office Marsudi said.
The body has been removed from the scene in a deep forest in Oksibil district to a nearby hospital in the district, the spokesman disclosed.
"The body of the pilot has been recovered and evacuated to the nearby hospital in Oksibil," he told Xinhua by phone.
According to the spokesman smoke may contribute to the air incident in the poor geographical territory.
The spokesman ensured that only a pilot was on board in the plane with route of Wajo and Sentani.
Air transport is the major and most effective transport facility in Indonesia's remote Papua, however bad geographical condition has often caused air incidents that left dozens of casualties.
