PYONGYANG, April 9 (Xinhua) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has expressed condolences to the victims of the Stockholm terror attack in which five people were killed, official media reported on Sunday.

Premier Pak Pong Ju Saturday sent a message of sympathy to Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven, saying the Korean people share the grief with the Swedish people at the loss of lives, and reaffirming the DPRK's consistent stand of opposing all forms of terrorism, said the Korean Central News Agency.

DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho also sent a message of sympathy to his Swedish counterpart Margot Elisabeth Wallstrom on the same day, said the report.

A terror suspect attacked downtown Stockholm by ramming a truck into the crowd and hitting a commercial building on Friday, killing five people and injuring dozens.

Sweden is one of the few Western countries which maintain ambassadorial level diplomatic relations with the DPRK. Three men had been arrested so far on suspicion of involvement in the attack.
