CAIRO, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Egyptian antiquities ministry announced Monday that it uncovered the remains of a 13th dynasty pyramid in Giza Governorate's Dahshur district.
In a press statement, the ministry said the Egyptian excavation mission working in the area located to the north of King Senefru's bent pyramid in Dahshur necropolis uncovered the remains.
According to the statement, all the discovered parts of the pyramid are in a very good conservation condition and further excavation is to take place to reveal more parts.
The uncovered remains of the pyramid represent a part of its inner structure which is composed of a corridor leading to the inner side of the pyramid and a hall which leads to a southern ramp and a room to the western end, the statement explained.
An 15-cm-by-17-cm alabaster block engraved with ten vertical hieroglyphic lines was also uncovered as well as a granite lintel and stony blocks showing the interior design of the pyramid, it added.
