BERLIN, April 3 (Xinhua) -- The trial of Marco G. concluded Monday in Germany with the accused receiving a life sentence.

The judge in Dusseldorf passed the sentence, without the possibility of parole, in light of the particular gravity of the offence. The other defendants were also jailed.

On Dec. 10, 2012, a bag containing explosives that failed to detonate were found on Platform One of Bonn's main station.

Marco G., aged 29, and three accomplices were also found guilty of plotting to assassinate a far-right politician Markus Beisicht. They received sentences of between nine and a half and 12 years.

The men were arrested the night before the planned attack.
