In 2015, the first and the only ice rink was opened in a shopping mall in Ganzhou. At the beginning of 2017, the first outdoor ski resort of Jiangxi "Qixingling Ski Resort" was opened in Tonggu county, which was invested by private capital in a total of 70 million yuan (10.1 million U.S. dollars). "Qixingling Ski Resort" is at an elevation of 1,400 meters and has 20,000 square meters of ski zone, accommodating 3,500 people skiing at the same time. From Jan. 1 to Feb. 20, 2017, the resort has accommodated some 60,000 visitors and earned four million yuan. As a part of commercial complex, the ice rink in Ganzhou is a place for citizens to exercise and an important way to attract more customers. The rink is 1,250 square meters large and can accommodate 400 people skating at the same time.
