BEIJING, March 30 (Xinhua) -- Attempts to use force to resist reunification of the motherland will lead nowhere, a spokesperson for the Ministry of National Defense said Thursday while commenting on Taiwan's military drills.
Acknowledging the 1992 Consensus and maintaining peaceful development of cross-Strait relations are conducive to peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait, Wu Qian said at a press conference.
"Taiwan independence" secessionist forces and their activities are the biggest threat to cross-Strait peace and stability, Wu said.
