MEXICO CITY -- The death toll from Tuesday riots in the prison of Cadereyta, in the northern state of Nuevo Leon, has climbed to four and the other 21 were injured, announced the state government on Wednesday.

KHARTOUM -- United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) on Wednesday announced that over 60,000 South Sudanese refugees have arrived in Sudan during the first quarter of 2017.

ACCRA -- More than 500 persons were killed in 2,890 motor accidents in Ghana during the first three months of this year, local media reported here Wednesday, quoting police sources.
A report by the state-run Ghana News Agency (GNA) quoted the Police Motor Transport and Traffic Unit (MTTU) as saying that between January and March 25, Ghana recorded 2,890 road crashes in 2017 as against 2,830 recorded over the same period in 2016. (Ghana-MTTU-GNA) Enditem
