STOCKHOLM, March 28 (Xinhua) -- A large fire tore through a building that houses a Volvo Cars laboratory in Gothenburg, Sweden, Tuesday morning, causing toxic smoke to spread and the mass evacuation of nearby offices, Swedish Television reported on Tuesday.
No one was injured in the fire.
The fire broke out at a laboratory and adjoining battery warehouse and spread to offices nearby, the report said, quoting the Fire and Rescue Service.
The building on fire was about 1,200 square meters and the fire caused a lot of thick toxic smoke to spread, the report said, adding that about 150 people were evacuated from several nearby offices due to the thick smoke.
The Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was under control by noon.
