WARSAW, March 27 (Xinhua) -- The Central Eastern Europe Innovators Summit, attended by prime ministers from the Visegrad Group (V4) countries, began on Monday in Warsaw.
The summit, dedicated to innovative companies, start-ups and NGOs from V4 countries, gathered innovators, heads of R&D departments of companies seeking innovation and representatives of public administration from the region.
Polish Deputy Development Minister Jadwiga Emilewicz said the congress was "the most important meeting during Poland's presidency of the V4," announcing a grant program for research organizations and small and medium companies.
Organized by the Polish Development Fund, the summit will end on Tuesday with a Warsaw declaration regarding innovativeness of the region.
The Visegrad Group, established in 1991, comprises Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Poland took over Visegrad Group presidency since July 2016.
