SINGAPORE, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 16.02 points, or 0.51 percent, to close at 3,126.88.
A total of 3 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1.08 billion Singapore dollars (773.04 million U.S. dollars).
Decliners outnumbered gainers 285 to 177.
The STI index gained 15.97 points, or 0.51 percent, to close at 3,142.90 on March 24.
