RAMALLAH, March 23 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian young man was killed and three injured on Thursday by Israeli soldiers' gunfire north of the West Bank city of Ramallah, medics said.
The Palestinian ministry of health said in an emailed press statement that the Israeli soldiers' gunfire killed a young man and wounded three others, one of them critically, outside al-Jalazoon refugee camp north of the city.
The ministry said the Palestinian security liaison was informed by the Israeli side of the causalities. The Israeli army keeps holding the body.
Mahmoud Mobarak, chairman of the popular committee in the refugee camp, told Xinhua that the Israeli army opened fire on a car outside the refugee camp.
He said four young men were in the car that drove to the refugee camp and they were on their way home.
The Israeli army gave no comment on the incident.
A wave of tension has been going on between Israelis and the Palestinians since October 2015, killing around 358 Palestinians and 46 Israelis.
