The Russian ambassador was informed that, till the settlement of this problem, the Moldovan officials would be asked to abstain from trips to Russia, according to news reaching here earlier from Chisinau, the capital of Moldova.

The comment of the Russian side is not available now.

The CIS Parliamentary Assembly will take place in Saint Petersburg on March 26-28.

The speaker noted that the deputies who intend to take part in this event in Russia could do it at their own expense; however, this would not have an official character.

Yet, Moldovan President Igor Dodon stressed that Moldova will participate in the Assembly, "regardless of the decisions of the parliament and the government."

Chairman of the Socialist Party Zinaida Greceanii stated in a briefing that the decision is incorrect and the Socialist deputies will go to the event, as the CIS is a very important community and Moldova has always taken part in such events.
