JAKARTA, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Four people including three children were wounded and dozens of houses, school buildings, office buildings and temples were damaged after strong quake hit Bali resort island in central Indonesia on Wednesday, disaster agency official said on Thursday.
The wounded persons had got medical treatment at nearby hospitals, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, spokesman of national disaster management agency told Xinhua by phone.
The impacts of the quake were found in Denpasar city, the districts of Jembrana, Klungkung, Tabanan, Bangli, Gianyar and Karang Asem, he said.
A 6.4-magnitude quake struck off Bali island on Wednesday with intensity of 5 and 4 MMI (modified Mercally Intensity) in several parts of the islands, but was not potential for tsunami, an official of the meteorology and geophysics agency has told Xinhua.
