SOFIA, March 22 (Xinhua) -- A flight training of military transport aviation, involving six NATO countries including Bulgaria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, France and the Netherlands, kicked off on Wednesday.

During the 17-day drill, the aircraft and crews from the six nations would perform tasks such as low altitude flights, airborne assault, and aircraft ground servicing, Bulgarian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The exercise took place at four airports southern Bulgaria, including Plovdiv, Cheshnegirovo, Tenevo and Chernogorovo, the statement said.

There are some worries in Bulgaria about the increased NATO air and navy presence in Black Sea region.
