BRUSSELS, March 21 (Xinhua) -- The 2017 EIT Digital Conference convened here on Tuesday to present its scaleups and innovation activities which drive digital transformation.
In 2016, over 120 startups were coached by EIT Digital Accelerator, the EIT Digital's 2016 Annual Report said.
According to the report which was titled "Sustained Impact", 26 new partners were added to the partnership last year which means now there are over 130 partners of European corporations, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), startups, universities and research institutes in 10 European countries.
Besides, nine new companies were created and 75 products and services were commercially launched in 2016.
In terms of entrepreneurial education, more than 500 students got enrolled in Master programs in 2016, 30 students were added to Doctoral School and over 20,000 learners studied through online courses.
EIT Digital CEO Willem Jonker said that in 2016, "we saw a continued stream of entrepreneurial graduates from our education programs and greater market uptake of the products and services coming out of our innovation activities."
