TIRANA, March 21 (Xinhua) -- The Albanian government is negotiating with the Greek authorities to build a new railway connecting the two countries, an official of the Albanian Ministry of Transport told local media Tuesday.
The project is in the stage of feasibility study while as confirmed by official sources, it is expected to be adopted in April.
The new initiative is being discussed by the ministries of transport of the two nations, the official said, and highlighted that the total cost of the feasibility study amounted to about 1 million euros (1.08 million U.S. dollars).
The Albanian government has been mulling the ways and projects to revive the Albanian railway system.
