BRUSSELS, March 20 (Xinhua) -- Belgium will allocate additional 30 million euros (32.2 million U.S. dollars) to fight terrorism, Prime minister Charles Michel said during a TV debate on Sunday.

According to Michel, 15 million euros will be given to the police and the security, while 15 million euros will be given to the Justice.

In the past 2 years, Belgium had already assigned 600 million euros in fighting terrorism.

"We need financial means to equip and support," he said.

Michel also admitted support for the victims of the Brussels attacks is not efficient enough.

"I realized that in a certain number of cases, not all of them, there was indeed not enough proactivity and individual follow-up based on each victim's situation. We have to be modest and admit that it didn't work as well as it should have," he said.

On March 22 of 2016, 35 people were killed and over 300 others injured in the terror attacks on Brussels airport and the city's Metro system.
