JAKARTA, March 17 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesian government has accelerated preparations for the Asian Paragames to be held next year in the county, a minister said here on Friday.
"Indonesia is seriously carrying out preparation for the Asian Paragames," Indonesian Sport Minister Imam Nahrawi said after receiving delegates of Asian Paragames Committee (APC) at the sport ministry office.
The Asia Paragames will be held in Indonesia's capital of Jakarta in October 2018, the minister revealed.
Indonesia has proposed 17 sports for the regional sporting event, according to Bayu Rahardian, assistant deputy for traditional sport and special services at the ministry.
