KHARTOUM, March 16 (Xinhua) -- Sudanese authorities on Thursday added new commodities to the list of banned Egyptian imports, official SUNA news agency reported.
Sudan's Trade Ministry on Thursday issued a decision adding agricultural commodities and products of canned fish and processed and manufactured agricultural commodities to the list of suspended Egyptian imports, the report said.
The ministry's decision came following a recommendation by Sudan's Minister of Industry Mohamed Yousif last Monday, demanding addition of three commodities to the list.
In September last year, Sudan's trade ministry temporarily banned importation of vegetables, fruits and fish pending completion of laboratory tests after many countries have banned importation of fruits from Egypt.
