RABAT, March 16 (Xinhua) -- President of Burkina Faso, Roch Marc Christian Kabore, urged on Thursday in the Moroccan city of Casablanca for the strengthening and accelerating of intra-African cooperation to boost the continent's development.

Speaking at the opening of the 5th edition of the International Africa Development Forum, Christian Kabore called for mutual African efforts to tackle the enormous challenges facing Africa in all sectors, stressing that African economic policies should focus particularly on the poor and most vulnerable.

"Policy makers, business leaders, development partners, opinion leaders, we must make judicious and courageous strategic choices aimed at guaranteeing the economic development and well-being of all, for a genuine and lasting peace in Africa and the world," he said.

Held under the theme "New Inclusive Growth Models in Africa," the two-day event is attended by nearly 1,500 operators from 25 countries in the continent and partner states.
