PARIS, March 16 (Xinhua) -- French President Francois Hollande on Thursday called an envelope explosion at IMF office in Paris was an "attack" in which one worker was slightly wounded.

"We are still in front of an attack. There is no other word to say facing a trapped package," he said.

According to Paris prefect Michel Cadot, "the package was sent by post. It is a pyrotechnic engine, a big firecracker."

The victim was wounded at hands and face after opening the envelope but her injuries were not serious, he added.

The building has been evacuated while its structure is not damaged.
