BUDAPEST, March 15 (Xinhua) -- While giving a speech marking the anniversary of Hungary's freedom fight against the Habsburg Empire 169 years ago, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Wednesday voiced his discontent with Brussels over issues including the migrants settlement.

We want to survive while means we have to fight, to stop Brussels, defend our borders, and halt efforts to force us to settle others here, Orban said, obliquely referring to the migrants attempting to move into Europe.

Brussels, he said, may not care about Hungary's past or future, Brussels and international capital may not care about security in Europe, but we care.

The Hungarian PM said we now have a chance to profoundly and peacefully alter Europe, but for that to happen Brussels need to halt its hypocrisy.

He said Hungarians had survived in Europe for a millennium and would continue to do so because of national unity.

Orban fired back at opposition demonstrators, who continuously interrupted his address with whistles, by calling them the destroyers of unity, destroyers of dreams, a reference to a petition drive that forced Hungary to withdraw its bid to host the 2024 Olympics, and destroyers of the country.

The EU planed to relocate 160,000 refugees from Greece and Italy, the bloc's main entry points for people fleeing war in Syria, by September 2017.

Hungary has not accepted a single refugee allocated under the scheme and instead joined Slovakia in filing a legal challenge against it last year.
