COLOMBO, March 15 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena will visit Russia next week during which multiple agreements will be signed, the government said on Wednesday.
President Sirisena will visit Russia from March 22-25 on an invitation extended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The government information department said that the cabinet has approved key agreements to be signed during Sirisena's visit to Russia.
The agreements will cover cooperation in the areas of culture, fisheries, science, technology and research, as well as on bilateral cooperation in combating crimes and fostering police assistance.
