ANKARA, March 15 (Xinhua) -- At least 38 Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) suspects have been detained on Tuesday during simultaneous operations in southeastern Turkey's Adana province, local media reported Wednesday.

Adana police forces conducted dawn raids operations against the homes of the PKK suspects.

Three pump rifles, weapons and documents belonging to the PKK organization were discovered and confiscated by the police.

Founded in 1978, the PKK has waged a decades-long bloody campaign against the Turkish state.

The PKK is officially designated as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU.

Throughout Turkey's counterterrorism operations, over 10,000 PKK terrorists have either been killed or detained since the group resumed its attacks in 2015.
