BUDAPEST, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Hungary's parliament Monday re-elected Janos Ader as the country's president for a new five-year term, winning over law professor Laszlo Majtenyi in a vote split along party lines.
Hungary's president is not a member of any political party and represents the unity of the Hungarian state. His duties are largely ceremonial.
