BEIJING, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Two Brazilians' goals in the second half helped Shandong Luneng settled the score 2-1 over defending champions Guangzhou Evergrande in the second round of the 2017 Chinese Super League (CSL) on Friday.

Guangzhou Evergrande enjoyed a fantastic opening as Huang Bowen scored directly from a free kick in the sixth minute.

Shandong Luneng equalized through Carlos Gilberto Nascimento Silva's header 10 minutes after the interval, and Diego Tardelli Martins' goal in the 77th minute made the win.

It was the first time for Shandong Luneng to beat Guangzhou Evergrande in six years, which also helped Shandong climb to the second place of the CSL table.

Shanghai SIPG beat Yanbian 2-0 as Lv Wenjun broke the deadlock by the end of the first half, and Wu Lei sealed the win in the second half. But both teams' U-23 players were quickly substituted in less than 20 minnutes into the game.

Tianjin Teda played the host Jiangsu Suning, and both teams ended up with goose eggs. Suning, last season's runners-up, missed Brazilian striker Alex Teixeira Santos, who was banned for three games, and Roger Martinez, who was injured.
