Xinjiang smash Liaoning 118-93 in first game of CBA semifinals

BEIJING, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Xinjiang, finishing third last season, smashed Liaoning 118-93 in the first game of the 2016-2017 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league semifinals on Friday.

Darius Adams scored 43 points to be the hero of Xinjiang's first victory of the best-of-seven, and the other foreign player Andray Blatche added 12 points and 8 rebounds. Zhou Qi and Li Gen combined for 32 points and 13 rebounds.

Xinjiang led the game from the first quarter with 25-21, and last season's runners-up Liaoning never caught up. Liaoning's ace Lester Hudson scored team-high 28 points, and Guo Ailun got 17 points.

In the other game of the semifinals, Guangdong beat Shenzhen 130-113 with Donald Sloan's 29 points and Yi Jianlian's 24 points.

Guangdong got ahead with a fantastic 12-2 start and led 20 points after the first quarter, They kept the momentum to the end.

Jeremy Pargo and Maciej Lampe of Shenzhen combined for 46 points and 25 rebounds, and Gu Quan collected 18 points and 5 rebounds. Enditem
