SINGAPORE, March 9 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stocks finished lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 26.45 points, or 0.84 percent, to close at 3,118.84.
A total of 2.31 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 1 billion Singapore dollars (707.4 million U.S. dollars). Decliners outnumbered gainers 354 to 163.
The STI index gained 14.85 points, or 0.47 percent, to close at 3,145.29 on Wednesday. Enditem
