MINSK, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Belarus will continue its work with EU towards full removal of sanctions, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.

Commenting on the EU decision to extend arms embargo and sanctions against four officials for a year, the Foreign Ministry of Belarus stressed that the sanctions are unjust, counter-productive and they are not consistent with the spirit of cooperation between Belarus and the European Union.

The European Union on February 27 extended a series of restrictive measures against Belarus for one year. These measures include an arms embargo, an assets freeze and a travel ban against four persons listed in connection with the unresolved disappearance of two opposition politicians, one businessman and one journalist in Belarus.

However, Belarus was allowed to purchase biathlon equipment in Europe.
