SAPPORPO, Japan, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- One sixths of the athletes in the 8th Winter Games have done the doping test and the results are normal by now, according to the OCA Medical Committee.

Tan Sri M. Jegathesan, chairman of the OCA Medical Committee told the press that the committee has arranged and conducted 200 anti-doping tests, which works out the ratio of one for every six athletes.

Jegathesan said the OCA medical committee has it own anti-doping rules to which the organizers have to comply and the testing ratio of this event is reasonable.

"Many samples are collected and have been sent to Tokyo for further exam," said Jegathesan. "Now we can see half of the results and I'm happy to say these results are normal and I have no bad news by now. We'll continue to wait the rest of the results."

The OCA Medical Committee is also in charge of looking after 1,152 athletes and 600 officials. In the past nine days, it's seen hundreds of medical encounters.
