HANOI, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's northern China-bordering Quang Ninh province is intensifying measures to prevent A/H7N9 avian flu entering through border gates as it has about 118 km shared border line with China, where a new A/H7N9 outbreak is being tackled.
Nguyen Tien Hung, deputy director of Quang Ninh health department was quoted by Vietnam's state-run news agency VNA on Wednesday that the most important task at present is using temperature measuring machines and spraying chemical disinfection at the border gates.
Any infections among foreign visitors found must be quarantined and even not allowed to enter the locality, Hung added.
Vietnam has so far recorded no infections of human A/H7N9 avian flu. However, the country is promoting efforts to prevent the entry of the virus which caused a new outbreak in neighboring China.
