VLADIVOSTOK, Feb. 14 (Xinhua) -- Russian servicemen have gotten ready in exercises in supply unit in the Republic of Buryatia in Siberia, the Eastern Military District announced on Tuesday.
"The servicemen were put on full alert and made a 70 km march to the area of exercises, where they will train a comprehensive standard on deployment of advanced mobile command posts, field camp and supply posts," said the district's spokesman Vadim Astafiev.
"During the exercises, servicemen will go through special tactic training on deployment of field camp and repairing equipment in it," he said.
The exercises will last until the end of the week with a 100 km march. About 1,000 servicemen and 600 units of equipment are involved in the exercises.
