RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chapecoense will fine-tune their preparations for the Copa Libertadores with a friendly against Peru's Sport Boys next month.
Sport Boys president Johann Vasquez told the Gol Peru television channel that the Brazilian club accepted an invitation to play the match at the Estadio Nacional in Lima on March 4.
The fixture will coincide with a celebration for the 90-year anniversary of Sport Boys' formation. The club currently plays in Peru's second division.
Chapecoense lost most of their players, coaching staff and directors when a chartered plane in which they were travelling crashed near Medellin, Colombia, in November.
The tragedy occurred less than two days before Chapecoense were due to play Colombia's Atletico Nacional in the first leg of the two-match Copa Sudamericana final.
Chapecoense were later declared winners of the tournament at the request of Atletico Nacional.
The title means the small team from southern Brazil will play in this year's Copa Libertadores - South America's premier club competition - for the first time in their history.
Their first match in the tournament is an away clash against Venezuela's Zulia on March 7. Enditem
