WASHINGTON, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- Tom Brady led the New England Patriots back from a 25-point deficit to beat the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in Super Bowl LI on Sunday night.

It's the Patriots' fifth Super Bowl title and the first-ever Super Bowl to require overtime.

With the win, New England becomes the fourth team to win at least five Lombardi Trophies, joining San Francisco and Dallas (both with five) and Pittsburgh (with six).

"We all brought each other back," said Brady, winning Super Bowl MVP for a record fourth-time. "We never felt out of it. It was a tough battle. They have a great team. I give them a lot of credit. We just made a few more plays than them."

The Patriots scored 19 points in the final quarter, including a pair of 2-point conversions, then marched relentlessly to James White's 2-yard touchdown run in overtime.

"It's going to be a great celebration tonight. Thank-you to all of our fans. Everyone back in Boston, New England, we love you. You've been with us all year. We're bringing this sucker home!" Brady said from the stage after the game.

The Patriots are the first team to win a postseason game after trailing by more than 16 points in the final quarter. It was also the biggest comeback in New England's history in any game, with Brady's previous best being a 24-point comeback against Denver in 2013.
