HONG KONG, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.7 magnitude jolted 56km WSW of Kirakira, Solomon Islands on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 33.0 km, was initially determined to be at 10.656 degrees south latitude and 161.442 degrees east longitude.
