CHANGCHUN, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Liu Guozhong was elected governor of northeast China's Jilin province on Thursday.
The election was held at the sixth session of the 12th Jilin Provincial People's Congress.
Liu, born in July 1962 in Heilongjiang province, was previously acting governor of Jilin.
