Sudanese presidency condemns killing of 5 UAE nationals in Afghanistan

KHARTOUM, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- Sudanese presidency on Wednesday condemned the killing of five United Arab Emirates (UAE) nationals in an attack in Afghanistan's Kandahar Province.

In a press release Wednesday, the presidency described the incident as "terrorist," saying that it "resulted in the killing of a number of our bothers in the UAE as they were doing their humanitarian duty in helping the Afghani people."

The presidency reiterated firm stances in condemning all forms of violence and terrorist acts, it said, emphasizing in-depth ties with the "brothers in the UAE."

The Sudanese presidency further expressed condolences to the government and people of the UAE, and the families of the victims.

The UAE announced Wednesday that five of its diplomats died in a bombing in Afghanistan's Kandahar provincial governor office that killed at least 21 people on Tuesday. Enditem
