MADRID, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- The Spanish stock market index fell 0.46 percent on Wednesday to close at 9,408.60 points, down from the 9,452 points of Tuesday.
On Wednesday session, Banco Popular shares led falls losing 4.42 percent, followed by BBVA, DIA, Banco Sabadell, Enagas and Banco Santander that lost 3.27 percent, 1.24 percent, 1.02 percent, 0.98 percent and 0.86 percent respectively.
On the other hand, Acerinox shares led rises climbing 3.24 percent, followed by ArcelorMittal, ACS, Aena, Repsol and Mediaset that rose 2.21 percent, 1.75 percent, 1.43 percent, 1.31 percent and 0.72 percent respectively.
Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 121 points and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.5 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday closing time. Enditem
