BEIJING, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- The trade volume between the Chinese mainland and Macao dropped by 31.4 percent year on year from January to November 2016, according to the Ministry of Commerce.
Mainland-Macao trade volume from January to November 2016 stood at 3.01 billion U.S. dollars, including 2.88 billion U.S. dollars of exports from the mainland to Macao.
From January to November 2016, the mainland approved 624 projects invested by business people from Macao, an 34.2 percent increase year on year, with the actual use of Macao capital reaching 760 million U.S. dollars, down 11.8 percent year on year.
As of the end of November 2016, 15,022 Macao-invested projects had been approved by mainland authorities and the actual use of Macao capital totaled 13.5 billion U.S. dollars.
