PARIS, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- French police arrested 16 people involved in the robbery of American reality TV star Kim Kardashian in Paris last October, local media reported on Monday.
The group of suspects were arrested in Paris after police found DNA on one of the stolen jewels, which had been dropped during the thieves' escape three months ago, news channel BFMTV reported.
The suspects were placed into custody which could last 96 hours, the report said.
The police operation is underway to search for more suspects who are still at large, according to the report.
In October 2016, Kardashian was held at gunpoint and robbed of about 11 million U.S. dollars' worth of jewelry by men disguised as police officers in central Paris. Kardashian was physically unharmed.
Kardashian, wife of rapper Kanye West, had been in the French capital to attend the Paris Fashion Week.
