BRUSSELS, Jan. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Eurozone seasonally adjusted retail sales in November fell month-on-month after a surge in October, taken down mainly by falls for non-food products, according to estimates released by Eurostat on Friday.
Retail sales in the eurozone fell by 0.4 percent in November from October, the European Union(EU)'s statistics office Eurostat said.
In contrast, the retail trade volume in October increased by 1.4 percent in the 19-country bloc, which is by far the largest in the year.
On a yearly basis, the eurozone retail sales increased by 2.3 percent in November, after a 3.0 percent rise in October.
Eurostat said the drop in the monthly data was mostly due to falls of 0.9 percent for non-food products and of 0.4 percent for "food, drinks and tobacco", while automotive fuel rose by 1.0 percent. Enditem
