ANKARA, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- Turkish police detained eight suspects of the Islamic State (IS) group in capital Ankara on Saturday, Anadolu Agency reported.
According to the information received, the detained IS suspects were preparing for the pre-new year attacks before raided by Ankara Security Directorate Intelligence and Anti-Terrorism Branch teams in city center and districts of Sincan and Cubuk.
A large number of organizational documents were seized at places where suspects were captured.
