MINSK, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- The best tennis player of Belarus and the ex-first racket of the world Victoria Azarenka gave birth to a son, with the top player announcing the birth on Tuesday.
"Today I had my hardest fight and my very best victory! Our son was born healthy and happy! So thankful and blessed!" Azarenka announced in Instagram.
In July, shortly after dropping out of Wimbledon with a knee injury, Azarenka announced her pregnancy and withdrew for the remainder of 2016.
At the same time the 27-year-old assured that she is not going to stop her career in sport, but on the contrary, inspired by the stories of other women athletes, who after having children reached even greater heights in their professional careers, wants to do the same.
