KHARTOUM, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- The Sudanese government on Tuesday condemned the assassination of the Russian ambassador to Turkey, who was shot dead in Ankara on Monday.
Sudan's Foreign Ministry expressed in a statement "strong condemnation of the assassination incident of the Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, together with its primary rejection of use of violence whatever its reasons and motives are."
"The killing of the Russian ambassador constitutes a flagrant violation of the humanitarian principles and the international laws and conventions," it added.
The ministry also expressed condolences to the family of the Russian ambassador and the government and people of Russia.
