OSLO, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Norwegian police have tightened security measures in the Norwegian capital city of Oslo, although no concrete threats were received, public broadcaster NRK reported Tuesday.
Cathrine Sylju, operation manager in Oslo police, told NRK that police had more patrols at busy hubs, including the Christmas market at Spikersuppa.
"We relate as usual to the threat assessments that are being made by the police security service. They make continuous assessment of what has happened and whether it affects the threat level in Norway. They determine which additional measures that must be implemented," she said.
"Security is generally important for this kind of arrangement and we have a good dialogue with the police. However, there is no reason for worry now," said Aasmund Lund, the organizer of the Christmas market at the Spikersuppa in downtown Oslo.
The police security service informed Tuesday morning that they have no information that link the attack in Berlin to Norway.
A truck ploughed into the Christmas market crowd in the heart of Berlin, Germany, on Monday, killing 12 people and injuring many others.
