Sudan condemns cathedral blast in Egypt

KHARTOUM, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the deadly bomb attack at St Mark's Cathedral in the Egyptian capital of Cairo.

"The ministry expressed its strong condemnation of the bombings which took place on Sunday at St Mark's Cathedral in Abbasiya in the Egyptian capital of Cairo that left many innocent civilians dead," the ministry said in a statement.

It described the incident as a violation of all moral, humanitarian and religious values and principles.

The ministry also expressed sincere condolences to the Egyptian people and the families of the victims.

It reiterated full solidarity and support for Egypt's efforts to preserve security and safety of its citizens in the face of terrorist and criminal acts.
